Breakfast: Pop Tarts and milk
Lunch: Mac n Cheese
Dinner: Vance had crockpot- ed two whole chickens and shredded them for two different kinds of soups. Tonight we had chicken vegetable and the kids ate is ALL.
I've been pretty diligent about my devotional time this week and I feel like I'm making progress. Will write about it in Homemade Salsa.
Weather has been pretty much the same all week. A little on the chilly side, but sunny. I despise this kind of weather. Anything in the 60 degree mark is my least favorite. I would rather it rain or be in the 70s and 80s. This kind of weather feels like limbo. It was my biggest complaint while living in San Diego - 60 degrees all the time and wet. I could never get warm and we didn't have a fire place. Now, that would have been nice. To live next to the ocean and have a little fire place. I wasn't familiar with Jane Austen back then - ha.

Tuesday, April 17, 2012 Tax Day
Weather: Cool and breezy.
Breakfast: Cereal
Lunch: Fish sticks and tater tots.
Dinner: Fried chicken, mashed potatoes and corn. Everyone made a big deal over this dinner. Homemade fried chicken is usually a hit and I don't do it often because it creates a HUGE mess. But, it was good.
God - Family - Career
I spent some good time with God this morning. I also posted some of my thoughts from my devotional time on FB and created a little stir. I wrote a quote from Miracle in the Mirror that said that your relationship with God is never better than the relationship with the closest people in your life. I think that many people were convicted and because of our tendancy toward denial they disagreed. (my psychoanalysis of FB friends :)
I got to have some sweet one on one time with Tristan. I enjoy this on Tuesdays when everyone is gone, but he and I. I would really like to do this with each of the children. I've been able to squeeze in some time here and there, but it's not with everyone and it's just not enough.
Three classes today and I was wiped out. I've got quite a few new songs and I really like them. Hoping to get some fresh excitment in the members of Villa.

Monday, April 16, 2012 Family Night
Whew! This was a busy day. I did not rest or sit from 6:40am and it is almost 11pm and I'm still going. I have barely anything to show for it e.g. clean house, laundry, etc., but the boys did well on their school and I got a little time with Will and Rachie at the library.
Breakfast: The old standby - cereal.
Lunch: Top Ramen and left-overs.
Dinner: Papa John's pizza. Since I had to go out to the library I thought I would order something we haven't had in a long time and hope that it was special to everyone. We had a good "round table" discussion and all in all it was a good night. Busy all the way through and I am very tired.
Today's weather was sunny and a little on the cool side, but mild. It looks like it's going to warm up again, but I sure hope we get those afternoon thunder storms a lot. I absolutely love them.
God - Family - Career
I got to have my devotions this morning. I've been having some pretty intense conversations with the Lord of my life. Spent some good time with Glen and Ryan, but everyone else got a minimum of my attention. Tomorrow I'll try to get some good one on one with Tristan and plan a date with Rachie. I didn't even think about work today :)

Wow, two weeks...really?
If I could become a good blogger that would be so awesome.
Today the weather was a little chilly, but still mild.
Breakfast: Waffles
Lunch: Left -overs
Dinner: Pizza
Today wasn't a triumph. I did do some devotions this morning, got up, got dressed and even put a little make-up on. However, the kids were out of control and I had to step in for breakfast. Glen and Ryan got up at 6:30am to play their video games and that did not set a good tone for the rest of the morning. I intervened pretty hard. No yelling and completely under control, but I did not make any friends this morning. It was a relaxing day otherwise - nowhere to be and that is a breath of fresh air.
I give myself a solid C.
We have some pretty intense weather coming in so tomorrow should be a better day for me. I'm always better when it's raining.

Breakfast: I love mornings when I don't have to be anywhere. I made Cream of Wheat and since so many are feeling lousy, we didn't get to do a Spring Break outing and we stayed home and watched movies.
Lunch: I made taquitos with bean and sour cream dip.
Dinner: I had to leave early to drop Glen off to go to the World Arena Thorn practice and then straight to work for three classes so I had Ryan in charge of dinner. He made pizza and then cleaned the kitchen afterward. Yay, Ryan.
Weather: 70s

- I didn't do devotions today :(
- I had a lot of little bodies laying around today. Except for Tristan, of course - lots of energy that boy. So, I just put on three movies in a row and then had everyone go take naps - except for Tristan, Morgan and Will - they went outside and got dirty. I didn't get any real quality time with them.
- I didn't spend anytime putting sets together, but was gone from 5pm to 10pm :(

Breakfast: Cereal (need a fast breakfast because of work at Flying Horse) Everyone except Glen and Ryan went with me and they all had a really great time.
Lunch: Ryan made egg sandwiches for everyone then we went to Villa to go swimming. Rachie was starting to feel bad, but she still wanted to go. Glen, Rachie and Kael all got some weird cold with cough and fever.
Dinner: I made teriyaki grilled chicken with fresh potato salad and baked beans. Vance said it was the best meal we've had in a long time (don't know what he means by that :)
The weather is still really mild. I can't remember a longer stretch of mild weather in the Spring since we've lived in Colorado Springs. The wind has increased fire danger. Lord, I pray for rain. The kind only you can bring.
God - Family - Career
I've been journalizing again and it appears I'm "getting" it a little better this time. Thank you, Father for this time.
I did get to spend a good day with the children. Outtings are always good for them. I'm sorry some of them are feeling sick.
Three classes today. I feel sustained, though. Everytime I think I'll quit Flying Horse something happens. I meet someone knew. Someone I never would have met otherwise and then I think I should stay there...hmmmm.

Today was a marvelous day. I love Mondays. Still warm today but super super windy.
Breakfast: Muffins and milk. I heated up by blueberry muffin with lots of butter melted over it and a cup of warm rasberry tea - delish...
Lunch: Left overs. So good to make sure none of the food in the frig goes to waste.
Dinner: Monday nights is our family dinner night where we all sit around the same table. Then we go around the table and each person talks about the favorite part of their day. Tonight we had tacos.
God - Family - Career
Started the day with a very short devotional with some very short notes, but it was something. Spent most of the day cleaning the kitchen. Scrubbing the oil off the stove and everything else it splatters onto. So, not a whole lot of quality time with the children, but set up a new system of sticker charts where if they do what they're told, if the do their chores or if they just respond respectfully to everyone in the family they get a sticker. When their sticker chart is filled they get a reward. So far, I'm loving it. Only thought about work for 5 seconds. I'm going to do the same set list tomorrow morning as I did Friday evening :)

Breakfast: Muffins - this is now a Sunday morning tradition.
Lunch: We had last minute guests over for lunch and I did some left-overs and Vance also put some hamburgers on the grill. It was great.
Dinner: We went out with some very dear friends who we have not seen in a long time to a place called Cheddars. It's alright and the price is good. But, best of all was visiting with Matt and Michiele.
Weather: Again really great. The kids have taken to playing in the sprinklers.

Church went well, but was busy. Not sure how much I was fed, but feeding is nice too. Family day all day long together and a bonfire later at the Garcia's and then the boys spent the night over there. I'm pretty sure the whole family would say it was a really GREAT day.
Didn't even think about work :)

Breakfast: Cereal
Lunch: Quesadillas - I wasn't here. Rachie and I went on a mother daughter errand day and went to a couple of stores then to McDs for lunch and then a baby shower. Sweet girl - she loved every minute of it.
Dinner: Blackened Tilapia over rice and steamed broccoli. Now doesn't that sound better than fried fish in butter with rice and veggies - lol.
Faith - Family - Carrer
Started the day off right with devotions and a bath. I got to have some one on one time with Rachie which really improves her behavior and I didn't have to work a lick (well that's not completely true, but...) There ya go...
Oh, weather. We're still having a GREAT streak of weather and I'm loving it. It's very dry though and will start to get windy, but this day was almost 80 degrees. Wahoo!
