I'm writing this on the 29th and though only a day later it feels like yesterday was a week away. Today Vance left for another hunting trip. The weather was beautiful and crisp. I had someone email me and ask to take her off my mailing list. I could care less that I have one less customer so why do I feel so rejected, why do I take that kind of stuff so hard, why am I writing this here? I guess because no one will see it but me.
Breakfast: Vance made French toast - I've never liked his french toast. I'm not really a french toast fan to start with and homemade french toast definitely doesn't cut it. I had cereal.
Lunch: Sandwiches, fruit and crackers.
Dinner: Oven-roasted herb chicken, rice and spinach. Absolutely no one ate the spinach but me. Out of nine people you'd think there would be at least one other person who would like it. At least they all tried it.

Breakfast: We started out with cereal just because everyone was starving. Woke up to rain/snow. I remember smiling when I woke up because I could hear the pitter patter on the roof. Then, when Vance woke up he made steak and eggs for everyone.
Lunch: Soup - perfect day for it, of course.
I put the kiddos to bed and spent two hours at Joann's Fabrics. Almost spend $150 on a piece of fabric. Beginners beware ;). Then I went to Chick-fil-a by myself and ate two sandwiches fries and some sweet tea. I'm sure my appetite will decrease when I stop nursing (ha).
Dinner: ANTELOPE HEART CHILI. You read that right. It was actually pretty good. Of course, I didn't have much because I was a pig at Chick-fil-a.

Vance was gone all day so I kept things simple.
Breakfast was pop tarts and cereal.
Lunch: I stopped by Wendy's after my cycling class and brought it home to everyone.
Dinner: We had spaghetti. A favorite around here.
I'm not going to even make a seperate post for Sunday's menu. I had an headache for most of the day and didn't feel like doing anything. Vance was gone all morning getting his antelope so we had cereal fro breakfast, everyone fended for themselves for lunch and Vance stuck pizzas in the oven for dinner. Not at all satisfying, but I'll do better tomorrow.

Breakfast: Vance and Ray were here so I made a big breakfast. Fried eggs, bacon, toast, grits, etc.
Lunch: was also a bit special. I had marinated some elk steaks and grill them, made a pasta salad with as many veggies as I could throw in there and some homemade salsa and chips. Delcioso!
Dinner was simple with some left-overs.
It was good to have Ray here. I hope we can go visit them next summer.

Wow! What a day. Over 80...and I thought we were officially into the Autumn weather.
Breakfast: Cereal...again.
Lunch: We almost made it to Grandma's house for lunch, but I couldn't resist when we passed a Wendy's.
Dinner: I made tacos...yum...as always.
I'm writing this after midnight and Kael just came up and laid down on the floor in my room. Scared me half to death. He's just fell right back to sleep. I wonder if I should even bother him. I know Tristan will be waking up shortly so I might as well stay up for a little longer.

A real beautiful day today. It started to rain around 4pm. As far as weather goes in my opinion today was PERFECT!
I think I was a bit lazy about meals today, but no one went hungry :)
Breakfast: Cereal and bagels.
Lunch: Left-overs: chicken, fish, rice, potatoes, spaghetti. I think I emptied the entire frig of left overs. I like it when that happens.
Dinner: Ryan made two pizzas. His specialty.

Update
I've slacked off again, but I had to write some of our latest dinners down so I won't forget about them and make sure I add them to the rotation.
We tried a new dish recently: Stir fry broccoli and beef. It was really good and the kids liked it to. A definite addition to the calendar.
We brought meatloaf and mashed potatoes back. Another of the kids favorites. Which reminds me, my mom used to do Swedish meatballs over rice. I'll have to do that soon.
Today, Vance left again so I pray he gets what he wants for his birthday: a big bull. I also pray that he brings back meat; we need it.
I'm going to do something extra simple for dinner tonight like Mac and Cheese so the clean up can be quick and I can work on some of my projects.
It's rainy, but warm today.

I am so happy it's September! Though, it will be 85 today and we're going to the pool, I'm looking forward to Autumn.
Breakfast: Since Vance was home i made a big breakfast: a big pot of freshly ground coffee, scrambled eggs, bacon, skillet potatoes and grits. It was all very good!
We're going to do fast food for lunch since we're going to the pool and the kitchen is a mess.

Breakfast: Oatmeal
I'm feeling better today, I prayed a lot last night and it helped me focus on what is really important - my children and all that implies.
Lunch: Chicken noodle soup, string cheese and grapes.
Dinner: Taco night!
Surprise! Vance came home two days early around 9pm - another answered prayer. he never comes home early from hunting. unfortunately, he didn't get anything, but it was the first time he has taken horses and it ended up being a difficult trip, but he learned a lot.
